Good to know
- The corners start where the page seems to be. Check each page, and drag a corner onto the edge of the paper if it missed.
- Clean colour makes the paper white and keeps coloured ink and stamps. Clean grey makes smaller files. Original keeps the photo as it is.
- Pages are saved at up to 2,400 pixels on the long side, about 200 DPI on A4.
- The pages are pictures: their text can't be searched or copied until you run the PDF through OCR.
Why it's private
Processed in your browser
The tool runs on your device. There is no upload step and no server that receives your files.
Works offline
Wait for Offline ready before disconnecting. OCR and Office conversion also need their engines saved on this device.
No ads or trackers
Tool pages load no ads, no analytics scripts and no third-party code.
Questions
Do I need a scanner?
No. A phone photo is enough. Put the page on a darker surface in even light, hold the phone above it and fill most of the photo with the page. The tool straightens it and makes the paper white.
Can I make the PDF small enough for an upload form?
Yes. Turn on "Keep the PDF under a size" and type the limit, such as 200 KB. The pages are made smaller step by step until the PDF fits, and you are told plainly if it cannot. Clean grey pages fit more easily than colour ones.
Can I search or copy the text in the PDF?
Not straight away, because each page is a picture. Open the PDF in OCR PDF afterwards to add text you can search and copy, in English and Hindi.
A page came out sideways or upside down. What do I do?
Choose the page, then Turn left or Turn right until it reads the right way up. Photos a phone marked as sideways are turned for you.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser does the work on this device, and the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded. Nothing is sent to a server.
